Most Precious Blood has a vibrant and long-standing Saint Vincent de Paul conference. This is the group that truly takes care of the needs that come to us day by day from people who are struggling to get by in the world. People contact the society through our parish office and find help, ministry, understanding and kindness here on a daily basis. They truly help the “hungry at our door.”
This is why I was so happy when Gail Rowe reached out to me and offered to have this group do one of our Touchstones. While I may be wrong, I’m pretty sure this is the longest standing charitable outreach ministry in our parish. At the very least they have been here decades!
Our video today is presented by our current MPB conference president, Edna Sullivan. It’s a wonderful chance to learn both a little bit of the history of the Saint Vincent de Paul society in general, as well as our own conference's present activity within our community.
